House Boat is value for money and ok ok type, much like all the other house boats of Dal Lake. Food and heating system are also ok. Breakfast is in limited quantity and they refused to provide extra toast and tea when demanded. Houseboat is properly maintained with all the basic amenitied and gives you feel of vintage Kashmir. However owner and an old age servant who gives you Shikara rides and all the housekeeping services will try to sell you other services like tour operator and Taxi Services. They will try to gain your sympathy in the name of poverty and unemployment, this is where the real scam starts. Taxi is being run by the family member and he will loot you and ruin all your good experience of house boat. Do not take any other service from owner other than stay at houseboat

Its was our 6th stay at kings paradise , Mr. Javed Ahmed is the owner of the house boat and also gem of a person . All the services demanded are fulfilled , i am visiting him since 2005 . House boat is clean , neat & tidy. Rooms have LPG gas operated heater and bed has electronic heater. Mr. GULAM SHEIKH is the father of Mr. Javed who will entertain u with his talks and keeps u engaged all the time , ghat no 7 is the nearest to the house boat , house boat is situated deep in side the dal lake , where u can find a peace and no noise of road side traffic , which is the case to all road side house boat . House boat has 1 living room and 1 dinning room with 6 seater dinning table , maximum 8 pax can accommodate. As soon as we reached Gate no 7 at Dal Lake we wore taken well care of and the trip on Kings Paradise House Boat Shikara Ride was awesome . The Owner Himself Welcomed us and we felt very comfortable as we wore only Family on the Houseboat . Staff Sabroz and all other wore excellent and took good care of us , food they prepared was well good and also they celebrated our Anniversary and could manage getting excellent fresh Chocolate cake . We took evening Shikara Ride on full moon night which was great and had very good shopping experience at Kashmir Emporium . I clicked some amazing photos and early mornings or late nights are peaceful . For 1st timers on Houseboat it's bit difficult to adjust specially when you sleep but overall you will feel very fresh as the views are amazing and Hospitality at its best always. Houseboat experience at Kings Paradise was amazing and would love to visit again as felt very Homely Atmosphere .

Amazing Stay at Houseboat. Clean and well decorated rooms. Nice view of Dal Lake. Houseboat staff were friendly and helpful. All our needs were taken care very well. Shikara rides, was arranged by Houseboat. Overall the stay was amazing. we thougroghly enjoyed the trip. Thanks to Houseboat staff

Really enjoyed my brief two night stay. Dinner and breakfast very satisfying. Houseboat is nicely located, away from the noise and bustle but within a short ride by shikara. They provide a free shuttle service to and from the houseboat. The rooms are clean & spacious. Wifi signal is good. I met with Shabroz the owner on my first day, very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.
